facebook is gonna cut off yer face and sell it to you for a profit in the name of freedom... and the c.i.a

i'm continualy amazed and freaked out by the interweb... bam!!!
...so the c.i.a. is quite possibly collecting info on you right now (via facebook... seriously read the article, way more to say of value than i do.). creepy... but who isn't? google's prolly had you clocked fer years...
look here and here...
...and we all know... and it gives us shivers from time to time, but what the fuck are you going to do about it really? convenience is king.
by logging into this here blogger account via my gmail address i am adding to my file... a file that no doubt includes everything i've ever posted on myspace, numerous photos i've uploaded to flickr and photobucket... the music i've aquired from limewire and soulseek... the airline tickets i've purchased through priceline... books from amazon... jennifers countless dresses from ebay... and then of course there's my credit history... school records... medical info... the 75 or more times i've been on camera today (apparently the average in london is around 300 times a day)...
very little in this world is anonymous...
even paper money helps keep an eye on who you are and what you do via rfid... after talking about it for years they've, quite recently, actually done it.
this bitch is has allot to say on the subject... she's awesome.

there's even a little tracker i can check to see who's been reading this blog today via their ip address... i can't imagine it would be that hard use that info to figure out an exact physical address.
so this is the part where i get really stoned and watch zeitgeist again... then freak out because someone else has done a better job of what i just did... take a bunch of stuff we all allready know, extrapolate on it ever so slightly, lump it together and put in some ominous music.
it sucks being this completely fucked and totally accepting it..
here is yer ominous music.

shit.

Now that your big eyes have finally opened
Now that you're wondering how must they feel
Meaning them that you've chased across America's movie screens
Now that you're wondering how can it be real
That the ones you've called colorful, noble and proud
In your school propaganda
They starve in their splendor
You've asked for my comment I simply will render

My country 'tis of thy people you're dying

Now that the longhouses breed superstition
You force us to send our toddlers away
To your schools where they're taught to despise their traditions
You forbid them their languages, then further say
That American history really began
When Columbus set sail out of Europe, then stress
That the nation of leeches that conquered this land
Are the biggest and bravest and boldest and best
And yet where in your history books is the tale
Of the genocide basic to this country's birth
Of the preachers who lied, how the Bill of Rights failed
How a nation of patriots returned to their earth
And where will it tell of the Liberty Bell
As it rang with a thud Over Kinzua mud
And of brave Uncle Sam in Alaska this year

My country 'tis of thy people you're dying

Hear how the bargain was made for the West
With her shivering children in zero degrees
Blankets for your land, so the treaties attest
Oh well, blankets for land is a bargain indeed
And the blankets were those Uncle Sam had collected
From smallpox-diseased dying soldiers that day
And the tribes were wiped out and the history books censored
A hundred years of your statesmen have felt it's better this way
And yet a few of the conquered have somehow survived
Their blood runs the redder though genes have paled
From the Gran Canyon's caverns to craven sad hills
The wounded, the losers, the robbed sing their tale
From Los Angeles County to upstate New York
The white nation fattens while others grow lean
Oh the tricked and evicted they know what I mean

My country 'tis of thy people you're dying

The past it just crumbled, the future just threatens
Our life blood shut up in your chemical tanks
And now here you come, bill of sale in your hands
And surprise in your eyes that we're lacking in thanks
For the blessings of civilization you've brought us
The lessons you've taught us, the ruin you've wrought us
Oh see what our trust in America's brought us

My country 'tis of thy people you're dying

Now that the pride of the sires receives charity
Now that we're harmless and safe behind laws
Now that my life's to be known as your "heritage"
Now that even the graves have been robbed
Now that our own chosen way is a novelty
Hands on our hearts we salute you your victory
Choke on your blue white and scarlet hypocrisy
Pitying the blindness that you've never seen
That the eagles of war whose wings lent you glory
They were never no more than carrion crows
Pushed the wrens from their nest, stole their eggs, changed their story
The mockingbird sings it, it's all that he knows
"Ah what can I do?" say a powerless few
With a lump in your throat and a tear in your eye
Can't you see that their poverty's profiting you

My country 'tis of thy people you're dying

the lamest thing i've ever heard muttered in the hip-hop section

so i work at a record store and help people with hip-hop...blah blah blah (said dracula)

this (white) guy walks in the store with two small girls, well small compared to him...
he has on baggy jeans, an all over print hoodie, sunglasses, headphones (worn over the hood), the hoodie is open exposing a t-shirt bearing a motto in reference to hustling, he has a blinged out skull belt buckle, he begins telling the girls to ask me where to find certain cd's, i'm standing right next to him, so i walk away...

as i'm exiting i hear the dude exclaim in reference to a Baby and Lil' Wayne cd:
"awww, see that, these dudes are hella gay... that makes me want to pull out my shotgun..."

jesus

then i realized that he was closeted, and by shotgun he meant penis, because he really felt the urge to pull out his "shotgun" member and blow a big hearty load all over the effigy of two shirtless creamy brown skinned males who obviously have a lot of money and no problem displaying "family affection" for one another"

this epiphany was quickly debunked upon hearing homeskillet freestyling out front about his shotgun and rollin' and hustlin' and being a gangsta...

then i once again realized he was merely satan's bum droppings (not unlike rob thomas from matchbox 20 or santana... more about that later, or the guy from train...)

jabberwocky muppet monsters

hip-hop philosophy

so i played the sideroom for jurassic 5 at the fillmore once, played some old soul records, cool, jurassic 5's fanbase is largely caucasian, not a big deal, white people like me, i did think it was funny that the opening band was x-clan (devil, white devil, devil).

not dissin' x-clan, i've been a fan since the late 80's, brotha j's "dark sun riders" project is one of my favorite records, they were playing for devils though and not a speck of pork in the building

anyway, all of jurassic 5's merch was insane, like $2million for a baby tee, they had lots of baby tees, so i see a sign that says "x-clan t-shirts $12, if you buy a shirt get a cd for $5"

i'm like cool, let me get an x-clan shirt, so i ask the merch lady if they have a medium, she's like: "naw, just x-large"

fuckin' hip-hop...

some guy asked me if i'd ever heard rakim before, yesterday while i was at work, i said sure, he hold me that someone had told him that rakim was like charlie bird (parker i assumed)

i said, as far as innovators go, they were both at the head of their respective styles, but bird was imrovisational and hectic, yet melodic...while rakim was very mathematical and calculated.

"so they're not alike?"

"not really" I say.

"well, there hasn't been any innovation in rap since rapper's delight"

i thought we were having a cool conversation and then dude sucker punches me with the sugarhill gang, that record sucks, unless you have to play a wedding, at a country club...hmmm

parapalegic aliens

I am a big believer in symbolism, metaphor... I am an armchair psychologist of sorts, looking for life's lessons in what better place: everyday life.

Waiting to enter the freeway to go home, the car in front of me isn't a car, more of a cart, like the kind that gives you parking tickets, so I'm about to levitate this mother fucker with my nickel plated nina when i realize it wasn't DPT and that on top of the cart was a (i'm assuming) lifesized depiction (plush i'm also assuming) of E.T. (not eddie torrez the extra testicle)... except something was wrong.

It must have been up there for years because its arms had been ripped off, it seemed to know its own handicap too for its head was pointed down in a kind of stuffed sadness...

That made me think that he should just take the thing down, it no longer brought joy, it just looked like a maimed, broken symbol of childhood wonder, you can't go back, you can't hang on when it's over, don't support directors that censor their own films...

You can use any of these at your leisure...

i hate my job

i went to sweep the listening stations for left product a few minutes ago at my crappy record store job when i noticed a man in the middle of the isle with headphones on kick, spin and launch into a monster bass solo...
i stopped
it wasn't safe
so a fellow indentured servant goes down the isle against my loudly vocalized warnings of "don't, it's not safe" and makes it back alive
so we at info ask "what was he listening to"
she said "the doors"

(don't feel bad if you don't know why that's funny, this kind of irrational fear of the public comes from 12 years of record retail)

one of my favorite charlie manson tracks... he really did have allot going on despite how it all turned out... i mean if you ignore the child prostitution, brainwashing, murder conspiring, cult action... he could have made it as a pretty amazing freak folk artist.
i know i've posted about him before... and i probably will again... what can i say the guy is interesting.
it's really dennis wilsons fault the tate murder deally happened.
in 1968, dennis picked up a couple of female hitchhikers, and took them back to his place on sunset... by the following night the family was all up in his grill... they stayed there for months eating up all his snacks usin' his towels and shit... you know generally bein' annoying... but manson had the girls work as servents to earn their keep... was it worth it in the end? prolly not... wilson dropped at least $100k dealing with various gonorrhea outbreaks among the family and handling some uninsured car crash action... all he really got out of it was a b-side.
manson version streaming clip(cease to exist)
beach boys version streaming clip(never learn not to love)
"On August 9, 1969, a group of Manson's followers brutally murdered Sharon Tate and other residents of a home formerly occupied by Beach Boys' producer, Terry Melcher, who had moved out just a short time before."
charlie was pissed because melcher had dissed him.... never would have happened were it not for dennis wilson.
the beach boys still rock though.

do you like venetian snares? do you like black sabbath? do you like dub-step? well too fucking bad.

if it's something that would interest you, it's likely that yer a freak and you already know about/bought this on vinyl... but if for some reason or other you haven't gotten yer shitty li'l hands on it (i'm talkin' to you samit... yer hands are covered in shit...) then here ya go... the venetian snares dub-step remix of electric funeral... in all it's doomy, gloomy glory. (seriously check this shit out... it's pretty fucking amazing.)
snares-electric funeral
oh... and here is a link to download the new album my downfall
grab it, listen to it, touch yerself... go pick up the vinyl.
this shit is breath taking... all orchestral and somber... the majority of it moving along with out a rhythm section at all... it's only on 4 or 5 tracks that he gets all glitch happy and slides into breakcore mode and even then not abrasively so... it works... it really works.

free music for everyone... or some shit.

so i finally signed up for a fucking rapidshare account. it's free, so why the fuck not.
from now on i'll be vomiting up mp3's on consistent basis.
here we go...
the following are various motown artists covering the beatles:
(offensive image action crazy time)

...the overtly familiar marvelettes version of please mr. postman is oft bubble gum type stuck in my brain and i don't even try to dig it out with flatware or the like.
please mr. postman
stevie wonder freaking out with his harmonica all over we can work it out has a tendancy to pierce its way out of background listening environment into conversation center piece action...
we can work it out
she's leaving home is just plain fucking weird... i think its late motown and vocally sounds extremely contemporary... like it's a new track from one of the not beyonce's in destiny's child... but instead its some chick named syreeta... and then theres the weird, these robot voices doing the parents part and generally just creepin' out all over the track, i cant help it... i love it... been listening to it on repeat fer some days now. (lame note though.. i despise common, and most other gap comercials for that matter, and he apparently sampled slightly from this song on his new album... i overheard the track playing from someones i-pphone the other day.)
she's leaving home
the other on loop listening chunk i've been pounding into my lump of gray mass as consistantly as possible lately is the supremes version of come together... vocally it's all delicate and tinny. it captures it's psycedelic subject matter in a way i didn't know the supremes could... well fuckin' a.

Ruben Oritz Torres/ Alien Toy

Salvador Muñoz is an alien. He came from Jalisco to California.

As an outsider from the low rider community he was able to free himself from the classicism of the Chevy Impala. He is a self taught iconoclast. He transformed a 1973 Nissan pick-up truck into "Wicked Bed".

The bed of the truck rises and spins opening itself in four independent parts. The doors shut out and spin fast while the hood jumps off and spins too. The front of the truck separates itself from the back and drives around independently while the rest of the car dances.

Like some sort of doctor Frankestein he has given life to this aggresive irrational machine. The future is happening and is out of control like a mutated virus.

Technology has been appropiated and used in seductive unexpected ways. It has become a tool of culture jamming and resistance in the streets.

the psychedelic experience: a manual based on the tibetan book of the dead as read by timothy leary

i have a thing for instructional manuals... most people either ignore them entirely or only read the quick start section; but for some reason i really dig them... back in the day some kids wrote out some instructions for lsd.here it is in it's entirety (clickity)
...and here are some helpful quotes as well as an mp3 version from mr. leary.
(this is a long ass post, so if yer super a.d.d. just skip to the end and download the trax.)

Reading from the book The Psychedelic Experience: A manual based on the Tibetan Book of the Dead by Timothy Leary Ph.D, Ralph Metzner Ph.D and Richard Alpert.Ph.D

Quotes

What are psychedelic drugs? The first thing to be said is that they're no new arrival on the human historical scene. Sacred plants and vegetables have been used for thousands of years back to the dawn of human history by wise men, medicine men, prophets, to expand man's mind. Today in our technological society we have produced dozens of chemicals which perform the same function. LSD, mescaline, dimethyltryptamine, psilocybin; there's a long litany of psychedelic chemicals, all of which, interestingly enough, are based on organic or botanical chemicals, and the powerful drugs which we now have to expand human consciousness are not the end. Each few months the biochemists come up with a new molecule which talks directly, eloquently and powerfully to the human nervous system, opens it up and changes it.

What do these ancient plant and modern drugs do to the human mind? They expand consciousness. What is consciousness? Consciousness is energy which is received and decoded by a physiological structure. There are as many level of consciousness available to the human being as there are structures, anatomical organs, inside the body for decoding different sorts of energies. Specifically and statistically there are hundreds of levels of consciousness whirling around inside your nervous system and your cellular systems. Each one a universe unto itself with its own meaning, its own dialect, its own politics, its own ecstasies, its own terrors, its own concepts of union and dissolution.

There are hundreds of universes of intelligent energy inside your body.

For the beginning student in this new and bewildering science of consciousness expansion it's useful I think to consider 5 broad levels of consciousness, and anyone who wishes to think about or learn about the psychedelic drugs must keep something like this 5 point scale in mind because each drug and each drug experience energizes and triggers off different levels of consciousness.

The 5 levels of consciousness that I suggest your learn and eventually learn to use are: sleep; symbolic consciousness; consciousness of the senses, directly energized; the consciousness of cell; and the consciousness of pre-cellular energy, molecular or atomic in nature.

1. Sleep
2. Symbol
3. Sense
4. Cell
5. Molecule

All of you know what normal symbolic consciousness is. We think of ourselves as human beings with tangible organs such as ears and fingers and eyes and feet. Actually the human body is a collection of trillions of cells. Each cell in your body is a network of communication and intelligent energy much more complicated than the City of New York. Each cell in your body is performing tasks of communication, transportation, ingestion, elimination, defense, memory, and learning; tasks which are millions or hundreds of millions of years old and which have not changed in many cycles of evolution.

Within the nucleus of every cell in your body is contained a chain of protein molecules which is called the DNA code. This is the blueprint of life. The DNA code is a biochemical-electrical architect's office which designs and constructs every cell in your body and the overall patterning of your organs and tissues. Your DNA code was created by the codes of your mother and your father. You contain within every cell in your body a living chain of molecules which is literally the chain of life and which traces back in unbroken sequence to the beginning of life on this planet some 2 billion years ago. If one link in this chain of life had been broken in over 2 billion years you and I would not be here today.

During psychedelic sessions with drugs such as peyote, mescaline, psilocybin and LSD, consciousness can contact the evolutionary wisdom which resides inside your cells and make connections with a living time machine which pulsates inside each cell. During the typical psychedelic drug session the subject reports being tumbled through a compressed history of evolution...one second you lie pulsating as a single cell, and the next second ancient memories of mammalian existence sweep over your consciousness, and the next second a hundred file-card memories of other human lives spin through your projector. In one instant you're an old man, a young baby, a beautiful woman...It's as though God has taken you by the hand and led you through the door of sleep, through the door of symbol, through the door of senses, into the heart of his workshop, relentless, timeless, tissue machinery clicking, unfolding, changing, spinning out organic forms, constantly evolving.

The most powerful of the psychedelic lenses presently available to us and the most powerful experience which has been described in human history is the 5th level of consciousness. The universe of pure energy, vibrations, pulsating rhythms far older, far more powerful, far wiser than the cell are those energies, molecular and atomic, which lay at the far outskirts of human awareness. During any one second of an LSD session consciousness can whirl through all 5 levels: Sleep, Symbol, Sense, Cell and Soul. A thousand microscopes, a thousand telescopes, a thousand blindfolds, a thousand symbols, spinning through awareness at each instant.

The LSD experience cannot be understood as anything but a philosophic confrontation. What is real in this spinning universe of realities of varying space and time dimensions and what is the effect of this rocket voyage through the nervous system and the cellular terrain? Terror, reverence, cosmic laughter, awe, ecstasy, but mainly confusion. The average American is no more equipped to confront and understand the energies which reside inside his body than a week-old baby is able to understand and use a computer. You are the week-old baby and the computer is your brain.

Drugs—the terror word of the 20th century; but let's face this issue of drugs bluntly and factually. The embarrassing truth is that consciousness is a chemical phenomenon. Everything that you have ever experienced you experienced because of a chemical reaction in your nervous system.

* Memory is a chemical process.
* Learning is a chemical process.
* Stupidity is a chemical process.
* Stupor is a chemical process.
* Normal awareness is a chemical process.

The language of your body is the language of molecules. The retina of your eye, the delicate membrane of your ear, your nerve cells, your tissue cells, do not speak English nor Latin nor French. They've been designed by a 2 billion year old process of trial and error to receive, decode, and send out language, which is chemical.

i'm hungry.

breakfast

dinner

M.D.A. exquisite corpse

onset:
strange and giggly... waves of slight nausea... feeling that self is heavier than before... feeling of detatchment from limbs.

peak?:
loss of attention span... light visuals... still detached but with a bit more control... overt interest in spatial relations... heavy waves of euphoric body high...

midway:
prone towards distraction... still waves of body high... still light visuals... more straight forward awareness of high vs. sober thought.

end:
more controlled thought... still lightly visual... fewer and less intense body waves... this stage lasted for several hours thereafter and on into the next day.

and then this is round about what would have happened were the like corpses of the evening joined.

my brain hurts.....

No seriously....print your name.

Not scribble, not sign..that means no cursive.I've got to put your name in the computer because my dispatchers are too lazy to do it themselves. You'd think that because these "pro"-fessionals got degrees,b.a.'s,master's,blah blah blahs in architecture, law, interior design..that they can follow a easy instruction like print your name. But thats just a very minor annoyance.shit could be worse. My job could involve holding dicks like that one job phil had..but i digress.I don't even know what digress means but i'll do it anyway.I mean i cant bitch too much,my job involves riding bikes and being outside all day, putting stickers on things, smoking things, and listening to the first black moon album on repeat.repeat.repeat.

Insidious Plot to Turn Australian Children Into Ravers Sours

"A POPULAR children's toy found to contain a chemical that the human body turns into the party drug "fantasy", or "GHB", has been banned in three states and is being recalled by its Melbourne creator.

With the Melbourne Cup holiday yesterday, the Brumby Government is yet to decide whether it will follow NSW, ACT, South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory in banning the award-winning craft toy called Bindeez.

Three children, two in NSW and one in Queensland, have been admitted to hospital in the past 10 days after ingesting the toy's beads.

The toy is produced by Melbourne company Moose and won this year's toy of the year award at the Melbourne Toy and Hobby Fair. Bindeez consists of colourful craft beads that are joined together to create designs. They are sprayed with water to fix them.

The company yesterday ordered a nationwide recall of the Chinese-made product, saying a chemical had been substituted without the company's knowledge. The toy contains beads that have been found to contain a chemical that the body metabolises into gamma-hydroxy butyrate (GHB), also known as "grievous bodily harm". It should instead contain a non-toxic glue.

Scientists in NSW discovered the chemical's link to GHB, which can have serious effects such as seizures and is potentially life-threatening.

NSW Minister for Fair Trading Linda Burney ordered that the toy be removed from all store shelves and recommended that parents take it away from children.

Ms Burney said an investigation of the toy would consider whether the use of the chemical was deliberate. The NSW Office of Fair Trading had notified its counterparts around Australia of its decision.

Moose's marketing manager, Christie Nicholas, said the voluntary product recall followed a small number of incidents worldwide in which children had swallowed beads and needed medical attention.

"These incidents did not result in any long-term effects," she said. "When used as intended and clearly instructed, the product is safe. However, if misused and swallowed, it may have adverse results and cause the child to become ill."

Ms Nicholas said that when the product was returned to the market an ingredient would be added to the beads to produce a foul taste.

A spokeswoman for Victorian Consumer Affairs Minister Tony Robinson said the minister would ask Consumer Affairs Victoria to review the product and have it removed if necessary.

WA's Consumer Protection Commissioner Patrick Walter said he had become aware of the problem with Bindeez early yesterday and imposed an immediate ban.

WA consumer protection officers were sent to remove the toy from shelves.

The mother of 10-year-old Charlotte Lehane, one of the NSW children who fell ill, told ABC Radio she was "beside herself" when her daughter began vomiting and convulsing and passed out.

It was reported that a 19-month-old boy was taken to hospital in Toowoomba, Queensland, after ingesting one of the toy's "magic beads".

The boy's grandfather told ABC Radio that the child fell unconscious after swallowing some of the beads."

robot suicide.

daft punks electroma promises to be a surrealist tale of loneliness and longing... as per usual i base my opinions on the critiques of others as i have yet to witness the film... but this clip has me adequately intrigued.
actors portray the robot duo as they drive an 80's model ferrari across a seemingly endless american landscape on a quest to become human... the film is directed and written by the electronic wizards themselves(Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo) yet features none of their own music... instead focusing on moving the speechless imagery along through the music of others (everybody from curtis mayfield to brian eno)... i don't know... it's a surrealist movie about robot suicide, what more could i want?
i'm gonna go see it when it plays at the clay theatre, anyone else down?

a brief timeline

LSD Timeline 1938-1973
1938 LSD-25 synthesized by Albert Hofman in Switzerland

1943 Hofmann takes a 250 microgram (one millionth of an ounce) dosage of LSD-25

1949 LSD arrives in the United States. Dr. Max Rinkel, a research psychiatrist gives LSD to his partner, Dr. Robert Hyde and reports initial findings in May 1950. (Hyde is the first person in the Western Hemisphere to take an LSD "trip.") Focus of tests is to create a "model psychosis."

1951 CIA begins Operation BLUEBIRD to investigate mind-control techniques. BLUEBIRDS objective is to create an "explotiable alteration of personality." BLUEBIRD evolved into the MK-ULTRA program in 1953.

1953 Experiments testing LSD's usefulness in mind-control techniques take place. In November a CIA employee, Frank Olson, who had secretly been given LSD is so distraught after the event he commits suicide by jumping out of a hotel window in New York. In England the first LSD clinic open to the public for therapeutic purposes is established by Ronald Sandison.

1955 Author Aldous Huxley takes LSD

Mid-1950s First use of LSD and other psychedelics for social instead of clinical purposes by intellectuals and literary figures in Los Angeles.
