paper route recordz
these guys are my heroes.
1. they're from my hometown of huntsville, alabama.
2. the song "rollin" samples a 90s progressive house track that i used to LOOOOVE about 10 years ago during my heyday as a raver (shhh... we all have skeletons in our closets).
3. the song is about rollin! for weeks! with no sleep! face melting off!
really, they're after my heart.
listen to "rollin," "bama gettin money" and "wood grain" (this song has a creepy little kid chorus, maybe from poltergeist?) here.
check out their myspace page here.
these guys are still unsigned, though probably not for long. in the meantime, you can buy an mp3 version of the album "hood headlinaz" here.

hurricane shit.
i have serious control issues...or at the very least i have anxiety in regards to things that i do that other people are involved in. i can't stand todays radio installment... in reality, there isn't anything wrong with it, i just dont approve of some of the transitions. and this fact is slowly eating away at my brain. i do the same thing at clubs... if i'm uncomfortable with another dj's choices i hyperventilate and then take control of the tables (which i didn't do this time... take control that is)... i'm a baby. but it doesnt matter, thats the thing... it doesnt matter. my crazy isnt making any of it better. and there wasnt anything that was particularly wrong. i'm just a nuerotic shitstorm wholloping the coast with shitastrophy, bringing upon the shitpocolypse... one pathetic tantrum filled shitisode at a time. shit.

Salty
Turn down your sound and hide your pets!
Add to My Profile | More Videos
This black, square-shaped platform is being vibrated by an amplified wave generator whose frequency is being gradually increased while someone pours salt on it to reveal the standing waves generated at the resonant frequency (the first pattern) or a harmonic of the resonant frequency (all the other patterns) of the black square. Each time the visible pattern changes, the wave generator "finds" another harmonic of the square's resonant frequency.
The salt makes these standing waves visible sine the salt is vibrated away from the areas of the platform which are moving, and subsequently rest in the areas which not moving. These areas in the platform which are not moving are where the standing wave nodes reside

i have a thing for the hilton sisters.
they were this amazing, and beautiful, set of conjoined twins who were famous in the 20's and 30's first as a sideshow and then later as a vaudeville act.
they had a long string of love affairs, suiters, husbands and friends that included the likes of bob hope, harry houdini...
they were huge stars at one point... stage and screen... but we're eventually left penniless after being repeatedly taken advantage of. they finished off their life as grocery store clerks in charlotte, north carolina.
